Fairhome buys Salford Quays offices for £2.7m

One Quays Reach

Harpin has completed the £2.7m sale of One Quays Reach at Salford Quays to Manchester-based Fairhome Group.

The 25,000sq ft self-contained modern office building is on the 100,000sq ft Quays Reach development off Langworthy Road, developed in 2003 and home to local and national companies including Robinson Way, NSPCC and Frenkel Topping.

Fairhome Group, which is a residential property development, investment and facilities management company for the supported living sector, will relocate its’ headquarter operations from Eccles to the three-storey office building. The property sits within Salford Quays and is just five minutes’ walk to MediaCityUK.

Conrad O’Neill, director of Canning O’Neill, who brokered the sale for Harpin, said: “The value of the sale demonstrates the continued appeal and success of Salford Quays as a business destination.”

“One Quays Reach is in an ideal location, just half a mile to the M602 which connects the Quays with the national motorway network, as well as being close to Manchester city centre. The building provides modern, flexible, fully fitted and cabled office space with excellent car parking.”

Ian Burgess, managing director of Fairhome Group, explained their decision to move its headquarters to One Quays Reach. Ian said: “We are delighted to now own One Quays Reach. The Board has taken the decision to buy this building because our current office space does not meet the requirement of our current employee numbers and growth plans for Fairhome.”

“We are very excited about the future and we will create a fantastic new environment for our staff. We want to be an employer of choice and we aim to move everyone into the building towards the end of this year.”

Canning O’Neill and GVA acted jointly for Harpin. Fairhome Group was unrepresented.
