A pitchside room

The 150-bedroom Hilton Garden Inn overlooking the Emirates Old Trafford, home to Lancashire County Cricket Club has been launched.

The property is the brand’s first in Manchester.

Of the 150 guestrooms, 85 overlook the world-famous cricket pitch, 80 of which have balconies.

On match days, some of these rooms will be converted to hospitality boxes, offering unbeatable views for spectators.

“Hilton is expanding its portfolio in locations across the UK, and now welcomes guests at some of the country’s leading sports stadiums, including The Stadium of Light, Ageas Bowl, Wembley and now Emirates Old Trafford,” said Simon Vincent, executive vice president and president, Europe, Middle East and Africa, Hilton.

“With more than 450,000 people visiting Emirates Old Trafford each year, we are delighted that Hilton Garden Inn is a central part of this superb destination for sports and entertainment, promising guests a great stay in the city of Manchester.”

He said that as well as attracting thousands of travelling spectators on match days and for concerts, Hilton Garden Inn Manchester Emirates Old Trafford is ideally located for both business and leisure guests.

“Emirates Old Trafford is one of the UK’s top sporting, music, conference and event venues and an exceptional home for our first Hilton Garden Inn property in Manchester,” said John Greenleaf, global head, Hilton Garden Inn.

“The hotel joins seven other Hilton Garden Inn properties across the UK and is an excellent addition to our portfolio of more than 740 properties across the globe.”
