Morson trading in line

AIM-listed Morson, the recruitment firm supplying more than 10,000 skilled workers to industry, says it is trading in line with expectations, despite tough market conditions.

The Salford-based company founded by chairman Gerry Mason and now run by his son Ged, provides skilled staff to the aerospace and defence, nuclear and power, rail and other technical industries.

In a trading update ahead of its half year results, to be announced late next month, Morson said: “Despite the continued challenging business environment trading for the first six months of the financial year is line with the board’s expectations.

“The board is confident in Morson’s continued strategy of focusing on long term relationships with blue chip customers and capitalising on the group’s market leading position in a broad spread of markets.”
