Parting of the ways for Onward Homes and Cobalt Housing

Housing provider Onward Homes, which has offices in Liverpool and Manchester, has completed a demerger with Merseyside-based Cobalt Housing.

The demerger brings Onward Homes’ property management total to 35,000. The organisation recently announced plans to build 1,600 new homes across the North West over the next five years and invest £200m in its communities.

Onward said will continue to maintain a good working relationship with Cobalt, its close neighbour and partner.

Onward chief executive Bronwen Rapley said: “We wish Cobalt every success as they begin their journey as an independent organisation.

“We are confident that they can continue build on the fantastic improvements that they have made and look forward to working with them in the future.”
