People on the move: Stagecoach Merseyside; Clearwater International; St John’s Buildings

Stagecoach Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire (MCSL) has strengthened its team with the appointment of a network manager.

David Rich joins the team having completed a two-year graduate trainee scheme with the bus operator. His new role is based at Stagecoach’s Gillmoss depot in Liverpool, where he is responsible for the commercial viability of its bus network.

Rich started working for Stagecoach in 2015 after he graduated from the University of Durham. During the graduate scheme, Rich spent a year as a trainee in Winchester and a further year as an assistant operations manager at the Stagecoach depot in Rotherham.

His role is to proactively identify opportunities to drive growth and enhance the reliability of the Stagecoach network across Merseyside, Cheshire and South Lancashire.

He will ensure that the network continues to provide relevant and fit-for-purpose services for its passengers while remaining sustainable for the long-term.

“David has proven himself to be a very competent and professional individual throughout his first two years with Stagecoach and I am pleased to welcome him to Merseyside as a permanent member of staff.”

Corporate finance advisory firm Clearwater International has strengthened its team taking on 18 new recruits across its deal leader, analyst and deal origination functions in both the UK and abroad.

The business has experienced continued success in M&A and debt advisory transactions, alongside an ascent in M&A rankings tables and awards wins.

The UK team has appointed six deal leaders across its Birmingham, London and Manchester offices including associates Mark Ward and Chris Lowe, both in Manchester, where Richard Corrie has also joined as associate in the analyst team.

Barristers’ chambers St John’s Buildings has added six mediators to its team, bringing the number of total specialists at the set to 18.

Family law experts Sonia Gal, Elliw Roberts and Ashley Singh have joined the team, as well as personal injury and clinical negligence specialists Richard Norton, Jacqueline Swain and employment law professional Kashif Ali.

Led by David Berkley QC and Michael Redfern QC, SJB’s mediation team covers all types of alternative dispute resolution.

The business has mediation facilities across each of its sites in Manchester, Liverpool, Chester and Sheffield, enabling it to provide services on a national scale.

These appointments follow statements regarding the importance of mediation by members of the judiciary in recent high profile cases.
