Building firm doubles turnover

Deeside-headquartered Butler Builders is eyeing further growth after seeing turnover double in the last financial year.
The company, which specialises in design and build projects, saw revenues rise to £725,000 in 2016/17.
Staff numbers also increased during the period from nine to a 22-strong team.
Butler Builders is led by managing director Andrew Butler, whose family have been building in North Wales for almost 100 years.
His grandfather, William, was a well-known North Wales businessman behind building company WS Butler.
During the Second World War, WS Butler swung behind the war effort, building lifeboats that were floated at Shotton Docks before going on to the ships in Liverpool.
Today, Butler Builders works with both domestic and commercial customers in North Wales, Cheshire and Shropshire.
Butler said: “I launched Butler Builders four years ago because I wanted to create a specialist design and build company with a strong emphasis on partnership with both our domestic and commercial customers.
“We have put a lot of effort into building relationships and this has really started to bear fruit in the last 18 months.
“To meet the growing demand, we have increased the workforce significantly and we have plans to grow the business further and create additional jobs over the next couple of years.
“I am proud to be the third generation of Butler builders in North Wales. In almost 100 years, our values have remained unchanged – namely to deliver projects of the highest quality, exactly the way our clients want them.”
The company has rebranded and launched a new website and marketing campaign with the support of HM Creative, the PR and marketing division of law firm Hillyer McKeown.
