Blueprint for new Taylor Wimpey homes development submitted

A reserved matters planning application has been submitted for a development of 173 Taylor Wimpey homes in Prescot on Merseyside.
It has been presented to Knowsley Council by HOW Planning for land on the former Prysmian Cables site at Carr Lane and is part of a wider mixed-use scheme which was given outline approval late last year.
Emma Williams, Planner at HOW Planning said: “Taylor Wimpey deliver schemes which have a strong regional identity and which meet local housing needs and we are confident that this scheme will prove to be a similarly successful development.
“If given the go-ahead this phase of residential development will be delivered very quickly, providing much needed new homes for the local area.”
The 12-acre site forms part of a wider area which previously contained a series of buildings associated with a former cable manufacturing complex.
Outline approval for the wider scheme comprises a total of up to 750 new homes and up to 10,000sq ft of commercial/industrial buildings.
The site has now been cleared and the roads constructed, which will service the new homes.
