Prime office building snapped up

Blue Marble Asset Management has sold a 6,175sq ft Runcorn office building, only days after it went on the market.

Acting on behalf of an in-house private client, Tim Matthews, chief executive of Blue Marble, sold Unit 2 on Wellfield Business Park to a private investor for a sum “well in excess” of the asking price of £848,000.

Blue Marble was advised on the sale by Zaman Roberts.

Unit 2 is a self-contained, two-storey office building which has been fully refurbished. It is fully let to Wentworth House Rail Systems on a five year lease.

Matthews said: “There was a huge amount of competition for this excellent building from the moment it went on the market and we agreed a deal after only a few days and completed the sale within only four weeks. The sale delivers a strong capital return to our investor client, as part of our on-going planned investment strategy.”
