Constructor lands £36m student homes build contract

Blackpool-based Create Construction has been awarded a £36m student accommodation project in Liverpool.

The scheme at The Weavers on Norton Street will be carried out on behalf of Niveda Reality and includes the construction of a 220,000 sq ft development across three blocks of eight, 11 and 15 storeys.

It will house 748 beds and include so social areas, gym, laundry and ground floor retail units.

Adrian Tottey, managing director of Create Construction, said: “This is our first contract for Niveda and we are delighted to be working with another key player in the residential arena.

“This large-scale project builds on our significant portfolio of work within the student housing sector.”
