Manchester Central welcomes new director of hospitality

Conference venue Manchester Central has appointed Alex Robertson to its newly-created role of director of hospitality.

He joins the business with an impressive track record, having spent almost 30 years delivering hospitality experiences across a range of operations and venues, including the Royal Albert Hall and ExCel London.

Robertson spent the last eight years leading the hospitality division of BHLive, transforming ita business from ‘in house’ caterer at Bournemouth International Centre to a successful multi-site operation servicing over 20 venues across the south of England.

He said: “I am thrilled to join the award-winning team at Manchester Central. The venue has an outstanding reputation for its hospitality offer and it’s incredibly exciting to have the opportunity to grow and develop it even further.

“Manchester Central is home to an impressive range of high-profile events and I’m looking forward to working with clients, visitors and the wider team to deliver remarkable experiences across every aspect of our catering proposition.”
