Vimto maker battles ‘challenging’ market to deliver sales growth

Merseyside-based soft drinks maker Nichols – the company behind the iconic Vimto brand – has delivered “strong double-digit sales growth” across its UK and international business in the face of “challenging” market conditions.

Revenue climbed 13.2% to £132.8m in the year to December 31 while its EBITDA remained mainly stable at £31.7m.

Chairman John Nichols said: “We delivered strong double-digit sales growth both in the UK and international business even though market conditions have been challenging.

“Profits were maintained despite previously announced external challenges in the Yemen region.”

Nichols announced an increase in its final dividend by 15.3% to 23.4p.
