Buyer sought for Lake District guest house

A Victorian guest house in the heart of the Lake District National Park is up for sale with a price tag of around £789,000.

Acting on behalf of owners David Mothersdale and Sarah White who are retiring to live near York, Colliers is seeking offers for Easedale Lodge in Ambleside, which has recently been refurbished and comprises seven letting double bedrooms and self-contained, one double-bedroom owners’ accommodation.

Haydn Spedding, associate director, hotels agency at the Manchester office of Colliers International, is managing the sale of Easedale Lodge and said: “Easedale Lodge epitomises the enormous appeal of Lake District guest houses to potential owners, being built of local stone in the Victorian era and situated in one of the most prominent locations in the National Park.

“The Lake District continues to be Colliers’ most productive region for hospitality sector deals in the UK, with more than 30 sales secured in the past two years.”
