Halton sports pavilion ready for kick off

Caddick Construction has completed a £1.3m contract for Halton Borough Council on Merseyside to build a single-storey changing pavilion on Stockham Lane, Murdishaw.

The new sports pavilion includes a fully fitted out, accessible changing space as well as accessible car parking.

Alongside the main building, disabled ramps and drainage infrastructure have been added to the site.

The pavilion will now once more host changing facilities for the Linnets Football Club, including the Linnets senior men’s and ladies’ teams as well as 43 junior teams (12 girls’ teams and 31 boys’ teams).

Caddick Construction was awarded the contract in March, 2017 and has completed the project on time and to budget. The first game has already taken place at the new facilities.

Caddick managing director Andrew Murray said: “This has been a fantastic project to work on and we are very proud to help fly the flag for local sports teams such as the Linnets. The pavilion is now a wonderful for space for youth sports teams in Runcorn and we’re looking forward to seeing it in action throughout the season.”

Caddick Construction and Caddick Civil Engineering are the operational arms of Caddick Group PLC.
