TP Group clinches Army Headquarters Programme Support contract

Phil Cartmell

TP Group, the Farnborough-based specialist services and engineering group, has been awarded a contract by the Ministry of Defence (MoD) worth up to £1.2m over 12 months.

The contract is to provide specialist support to the Land Environment Tactical Communication and Information Systems (LE TacCIS) programme, and has the potential to reach £2.3m over two years.

This contract award follows the previous work that AIM-listed TP Group, which also has an operation in Dukinfield, has undertaken with Army HQ on this programme, first announced in October 2016.

This current contract is for the supply of skills in systems engineering, project and programme management and other specialist activities to support the delivery of this £3.2bn MoD programme.

TP Group chef executive Phil Cartmell said: “We are delighted to receive this contract award within such a key programme.

“Army HQ has become an important relationship for our consulting and programme services business and this award recognises the technical capability, hard work and flexibility of the team that has been involved.

“This contract is part of our growing profile in strategic and secure information systems and we look forward to continuing our work with the Army HQ team and helping them to deliver their goal of information superiority.”
