M6 Northbound closed between J25-J26 after collision

The M6 northbound in Greater Manchester is closed between J25 (A49, Winstanley) and J26 (M58, A577, Orrell) due to a traffic collision.

North West Motorway Police Group are on scene, along with North West Ambulance Service (including air ambulance) and Highways England Traffic Officers.

Traffic is being diverted via the ‘Solid Triangle’ symbol.

From J25, take the A49 northbound to the junction with the A577, then turn left, taking the A577 to the junction with the M6 J26, rejoining the M6 northbound from J26.
