Merger creates £80m-turnover property services firm with 1,000+ staff

Liverpool-based Liberty Group, which provides high quality property services, has joined forces with Salford construction firm ForWorks.

The two businesses will operate as one company from next month, June.

The new £80m-turnover company will retain the Liberty name and employ more than 1,000 staff.

Liberty is an award-winning property services firm, specialising in repairs and maintenance, gas services and construction projects.

It already supplies more than a quarter of a million homes with property services and the integration of ForWorks will increase the offer to existing and new clients.

ForWorks is an expert in social housing maintenance, large scale refurbishment and construction of new homes.

It provides repairs and maintenance services for landlords, local authorities and private sector companies and is delivering new build-homes across the north of England.

Martyn Joyce, chair of the Liberty Board, said: “With the combined expertise of Liberty and ForWorks the company will continue to go from strength to strength.

“We are bringing together a passionate, professional and committed team, that innovate to deliver excellent customer service, value for money and compliance.”

He added: “ForWorks expertise in repairs and maintenance and development will further enhance our reputation as the go-to people for property services.”

Both organisations are part of the ForViva Group, a social organisation that owns and manages more than 24,000 homes across the North West.

Liberty is committed to investing profits into social purpose projects and building homes.
