Facilities management company flies into new sector with airport win

Warrington facilities management specialist Westgrove Group is flying high after winning its first airport contract.

Westgrove has been appointed as the cleaning and PRM (Persons with Reduced Mobility) provider for Doncaster Sheffield Airport.

Westgrove managing director Claire McKinley Smith said: “The contract win is a huge step forward for the company moving not only into a new sector, aviation, but into a new service provision, PRM.”

The Civil Aviation Authority require targets to be met by every airport to ensure that the PRM journey is not held up or delayed and passengers are moved through the airport efficiently.

Rob Cooke, operations director at DSA said: “We were delighted to award the cleaning and PRM contract to The Westgrove Group and look forward to working with them as the airport continues to grow its passenger numbers in 2018 and beyond.”

The Westgrove Group is also expanding rapidly across its core service areas of security, cleaning and customer service teams, increasing its market share in shopping centres and moving into new sectors.

Other significant contract wins include The Galleries Shopping Centre in Bristol, St Johns Shopping Centre in Liverpool and Media City in Salford Quays.

Westgrove says it is on track to grow its turnover to £40m by the end of 2021.
