Property in heart of up-market village sold for £3m

Lansdowne House

A row of shops and flats in the heart of affluent Didsbury village have been snapped up for almost £3m.

Wren Properties, which specialises in investing in buildings in the affluent south Manchester suburb, has bought Lansdown House for £2.9m from a private investor.

The properties are just few yards away from the busy Wilmslow Road.

Director Richard Robinson said “Didsbury has gone from strength to strength in the 40 years we’ve been based here.

“Unbroken blocks of property on the prime high street don’t come up very often so it was an easy decision for us to seize the opportunity to buy it.”

Matt Cox who acted for Wren said “Didsbury is a thriving south Manchester location and this acquisition fits perfectly with the long term strategy my client is taking with the portfolio.

“Prominently positioned, there is a strong mix of retail and leisure tenants which suits the needs of the local community perfectly.

“The rents are very sustainable and with some hands on asset management we hope to further improve the performance of the asset.”

B8 Real Estate acted for the vendor a private investor.
