Law firm Fieldfisher is expanding its Manchester presence even further, taking over another floor of the FreeTrade Exchange building.

This news comes less than nine months after it took over the fourth floor of the building.

The firm now occupies 22,000 sq ft of space in the Peter Street office, twice as much space as it occupied three years ago and is spread across four floors of the iconic building.

Fieldfisher recently confirmed a 24% increase in annual turnover for the financial year 2017-2018.

The Manchester office delivered revenue of £11m, 14.5% ahead of budget.

The office has also seen a 25% headcount increase in six months including four new partners since the start of April this year.

The increase in revenue was supported by strong performance and expansion in a number of teams, including real estate, corporate, tech & privacy, and medical negligence.

Fieldfisher is keen to continue to build on this success and has confirmed it is continuing to recruit and invest in these areas throughout 2018.

Ian Austin, managing partner of Fieldfisher in Manchester, said: “We are delighted to reveal that we are taking a further floor in the FreeTrade Exchange building.

“We have had a record year, winning Law Firm of the Year at the Legal Business Awards and the British Legal Awards.

“Although we only took over the fourth floor in November, our expanding practices have resulted in the need for even more space as we continue to recruit in our real estate, corporate, medical negligence, technology and employment teams.
