New arrival for Warrington property specialist

Severn Fields Health Village

A Warrington property company has expanded a medical centre to make space for one of the country’s top fertility clinics, in a state-of-the art fit-out.

The Severn Fields Health Village in Shrewsbury, where GPs and pharmacists already serve more than 17,000 patients, has delivered the new clinic space for The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust (SaTH).

The building’s owner, Warrington-based healthcare premises specialist Assura, funded the fit-out to create an embryology lab, cryobank, procedure room and recovery suite, as well as consulting, office and reception areas for staff.

It means the Shropshire and Mid-Wales Fertility Centre can deliver the latest assisted conception technology in an environment that will help maximise success rates for prospective parents, using specialist air handling and lighting techniques.

Jason Kasraie, consultant clinical embryologist and andrologist, and head of fertility services at SaTH, said: “This is a fantastic new facility for our patients and the fertility team.

“We had outgrown our previous home at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital and this new specially-created centre is almost double the size, giving us the space and the facilities to move into the 21st century so that we can continue to offer the highest quality care to our patients.”

Assura portfolio manager, George Coulson, said: “This is a great example of how a fit-for-purpose primary care building can bring together different services under one roof.

“It’s very exciting to be helping the Trust bring these high-demand services into the centre and we look forward to working with everyone in the building for years to come.”
