Chester legal practice Aaron & Partners has announced six key promotions across its two offices – including three new partners – as it continues to grow across Cheshire and Shropshire.

Chester-based Jamie Hawley, who specialises in advising owner-managed businesses and SMEs on a range of corporate matters, becomes a partner in the corporate and commercial team.

Jamie, who also advises clients on a variety of commercial contracts, was listed by the industry’s leading guide, The Legal 500, as a ‘Next Generation Lawyer’.

“It’s a huge honour to work at Aaron & Partners and to work with such a diverse and interesting range of clients,” he said.

“We have a fantastic team at the firm and, as partner, I look forward to playing a more influential role in what I know is going to be an exciting future.”

Joining Jamie in receiving a promotion to partner are Shrewsbury-based Sandy Edwards (family law) and Lynda Richards (wills, trusts & tax).

The Chester office also welcomes three new senior associate solicitors in Aaron Vandermark (corporate and commercial), Adam Haines (employment law) and Simon Mawdsley (family law).

Earlier this year the firm announced record-breaking income from fees for the 2017/18 financial year.

It marked the first time in the firm’s 35-year history that annual fees have topped the £9m mark.

“It has been a hugely successful 12 months for our teams across all offices and these six individuals have played key roles in that,” said Aaron & Partners’ senior partner, Simon Edwards.

“We are passionate about giving our own people the chance to develop within our firm, as we believe attracting and retaining the very best people is the best way to grow,” he added.
