Cheshire construction firm makes two Crewe acquisitions

Pochin's Arden Square scheme

North West construction and property specialist Pochin’s has demonstrated its commitment to development in Crewe with the completion of two acquisitions at Crewe Business Park.

The Middlewich-based firm has acquired a 1.8 acre plot of undeveloped land, in addition to Europa House, 10,000 sq ft of occupied office space, which has been added to its property portfolio.

The 1.8 acre acquisition is the final undeveloped plot on the 67-acre site.

Pochin’s is currently in talks with potential occupiers to bring forward an occupier-led scheme, which will complete development activity on one of the North West’s premier business destinations.

The eventual occupier will join the likes of Barclays and Fujitsu Services at the Cheshire park.

The acquisition of Europa House strengthens Pochin’s growing investment portfolio in the region and offers great long-term potential due to the property’s strategic location in the heart of Crewe.

This announcement comes following Pochin’s development of a new global HQ at the park for Radius Payment Solutions, which will create a 66,000 sq ft campus for the Sunday Times Top Track 100 business.

Pochin’s director Bob Nicholson said: “Pochin’s has been a long-term investor in Crewe Business Park and we’re proud to be able to take on the mantle of delivering the final new project on the site.

“We’ve submitted a planning application for a 30,000 sq ft development which we expect to garner strong interest, and we will be working closely with Cheshire East Council to ensure the future occupant adds positively to the park and is of a calibre befitting its completion.”

He added: “Europa House is a great addition to our investment portfolio which further strengthens our commitment to the region.

“Cheshire East Council has done an exceptional job in ensuring Crewe Business Park has become one of the leading locations for businesses in the North West and it is a pleasure to continue to support that vision.”
