Express Solicitors Group increases turnover to £17.5m
Manchester-based personal injury law firm Express Solicitors has had its best financial results.
Year-end figures increased 4.5% from £13.75m in 2017 to £14.5m in revenues in 2018; its sister medical company Ontime Reports Limited contributed a further £3m.
Caseloads have grown from 8,385 to 10,949, an increase of 30.58% over the same period thanks to continued long term support from Royal Bank of Scotland.
The firm believes it is progressing well towards achieving its goal of reaching £20m turnover within three years, and £25m turnover in five years.
During 2017 to 2018, Express Solicitors added 62 new members of staff to its team, a growth of 31% across all departments.
It has just made 17 promotions, including eight associate partners to partners, five associate solicitors to associate partners and four assistant solicitors to associate solicitors.
In addition, four trainee solicitors qualified and were admitted onto the roll of solicitors
In this financial year the firm acquired a new building next to its current headquarters, which takes its total office space to 21,000 sq ft and provides space for further expansion.
It also acquired the book of personal injury work from Edward Hands and Lewis, the firm’s third acquisition in as many years.
Express Solicitors says its growth is also due to its increased marketing spend, which saw some £6.5m committed in television, radio and internet advertising campaigns during the year.
