Leigh land firm wins planning approval for almost 400 homes

The Congleton layout

Leigh-based land promoter Ainscough Strategic Land has obtained two planning consents within Cheshire East.

Outline permission was secured on land at Back Lane, Congleton, for 275 new homes and six hectares of employment space.

The scheme will also provide crucial contributions towards the delivery of the Congleton Link Road.

Rachael Ainscough, managing director at Ainscough Strategic Land, said: “We are delighted to secure the consent at Congleton.

“We will be bringing some of the employment land to market later this year, with the residential land following early in the new year.

“We look forward to seeing the site deliver much needed new homes and employment space for Congleton.”

ASL has also this week secured outline planning consent for 120 new homes on land at Chester Road, Poynton.

This site is currently under offer, with the sale due to conclude later this year.

Ainscough Strategic Land was founded in 2007 and is now one of the UK’s leading land promotion companies.

ASL’s principle activity is the identification, acquisition and promotion of land through the planning system, working in partnership with landowners across the UK to realise maximum development value from land assets.
