NCC swoops for web monitoring firm

IT security specialist NCC Group has swooped for a website monitoring company in deal worth up to £1.7m
The latest addition to the Manchester company’s stable is Edinburgh-based Axzona, which has a number of bluechip clients including United Utilities, The Co-operative Travel and National Savings and Investments.
The initial consideration for Axzona’s technology is £1.2m, with two further payments of up to £500,000 in total, over the next two years against performance related targets.
NCC said it expects to benefit from the complementary monitoring technology developed by Axzona, which will be incorporated into its business Site Confidence’s range of website performance services.
The listed firm said last month that its series of acquisitions – a number of which have been in the US – had helped it grow annual revenues 49% to £71m in the year to May.
