Tools company in deal for two-acre Widnes location

Specialist industrial agent LM6, acting for developer Seybourne, has sold a 35,000 sq ft design and build facility on a two-acre plot at Duo on Gorsey Lane, Widnes, in a deal worth more than £3.5m.

The purchaser is Toolbank, a European distributor of hand and power tools, which has now relocated its staff to the new building from Stretton in Warrington following delivery of the completed building.

The move to Duo, which was formerly known as Easter Park, follows significant expansion by the company.

Phil Morley, of LM6, said: “The company was drawn to Widnes as it is a fantastic location from which to operate, with easy access to the North West’s motorway network.

“It is the perfect location for a rapidly growing distribution company such as Toolbank and they have been able to design a building which exactly suits their requirements.”

He added: “There is the potential to deliver a further 50,000 sq ft in total across the Duo site and we are actively dealing with further enquiries for the remaining space.”
