Cumbrian Castle

A historic castle and inn in Cumbria has been put up for sale.

Offers for over £550,000 are being invited for this beautiful 13th Century Inn based in the stunning Cumbrian countryside.

The historic property is connected to a Grade I listed castle and is a short distance from Hadrian’s Wall and Northumberland National Park.

The business is set within the grounds of a partially demolished castle and features 0.8 acres of private land.

Carol and Gary Stirling have owned the premises since 2013.

They have since invested significantly into the property, fully refurbishing the bar/restaurant and installing a full commercial kitchen.

The business’s intimate tearooms opened in 2015 with luxurious guest rooms beginning to be offered the following year.

Now the accommodation consists of five guest bedrooms including: one twin room, two double rooms a five-bed family bedroom and seven-bed family room.

The business serves high quality, locally sourced food from its three dining venues: the bar, tea rooms and restaurant. The venues boast 105 covers combined.
