Residential property management company Rendall & Rittner has agreed a deal with Schroders Regional Office Property Unit Trust to take up the last space at newly-refurbished 340 Deansgate.

The firm has committed to taking 10,632 sq ft across the ground and first floors on a 10-year lease.

Tom Newman, fund manager at Schroders, said: “It’s encouraging to see that the extensive refurbishment recently undertaken at 340 Deansgate has attracted a top-tier occupier like Rendall & Rittner.

“We focused on creating a high-quality ground reception area and floor spaces to meet the needs of businesses and make 340 Deansgate one of the most desirable office spaces in the city.

“Rendall & Rittner is a nationally-recognised brand with a strong legacy, and we wish them every success in the building.”

Rendall & Rittner is one of the UK’s largest property management firms and currently manages more than 55,000 units throughout Greater London, the North West, Midlands and the South.

Schroders acquired 340 Deansgate in November 2017 in an £8.4m transaction as part of its ongoing growth strategy across the North West which already includes landmark buildings City Tower and No. 1 Spinningfields.

Amelia Barratt, associate director at Sixteen Real Estate, who advised Schroders on the deal, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Rendall & Rittner to 340 Deansgate – the building’s strategic location within the city centre and first-rate refurbishment makes it one of the most attractive commercial offerings in the city.”
