Legal firm Forbes Solicitors has advised Blackburn-based entertainment services specialist HSL Group Holdings over the sale of its business to 4Wall Entertainment Inc.

The multimillion-pound deal sees HSL, which provides high level lighting, video, rigging, and production services to all areas of the professional entertainment industry, being taken over by 4Wall’s UK subsidiary.

4Wall is based in Las Vegas, North America.

HSL’s 165,000 sq ft facility in Blackburn is now being rebranded as 4Wall UK, creating the first international base for the American equipment and services provider.

Pauline Rigby, partner and head of corporate at Forbes, and associate solicitor Jenny Burke from the corporate team, both based at the Walton Summit office near Preston, acted for HSL Group Holdings in the sale of its business and assets, on structure of the deal and on the transactional documentation.

Pauline said: “We are delighted to have been asked to assist HSL with its decision to become part of the 4Wall family.

“Working on a deal of this nature is a sign of the excellent reputation which the corporate team has for delivering expert advice and experience at such a key point in a business’s journey.”

HSL managing director, Simon Stuart, who is remaining with the business, said: “This deal will ensure the long-term stability of our location.

“We couldn’t be happier to join this amazing organisation and would like to thank the team at Forbes for their expert help in ensuring this deal was concluded successfully.”

Wes Bailey, 4Wall chief operating officer, said: “This was the right time for 4Wall to expand into the international market. There is a strong group in place that will help us introduce the 4Wall brand to the UK in a positive way.

“4Wall and HSL have previously worked together on concert touring acts travelling between the two countries, creating a natural partnership between key employees and even customers that will be strengthened moving forward.”
