All change as bus firm bought from administrators
A “pre-pack” administration deal to sell Speke-based coach and bus operator Super Travel Omnibus to competitor Home James Travel has saved 70 jobs.
Super Travel Omnibus had a turnover of £3m in 2010 but had suffered from reduced revenues and increased vehicle operating costs. This led to cashflow problems, and the firm’s prevuious management called in RSM Tenon as administrators.
Joint Administrators Chris Ratten and Jeremy Woodside from the firm’s Manchester office were able to agree a deal for the trade and assets to Home James.
Mr Ratten said: “We are delighted to have agreed a deal with Home James Travel that will see the 70 employees transfer into the new business. The pre-pack sale provides customers, employees and creditors with the best outcome.”
