Firm take on new boss to lead expansion in US

Outsourced communications provider Moneypenny has appointed a new new vice president of operations in North America to head the firm’s expansion plans.

The Wrexham firm has appointed Mel Carlen as Vice President of Operations North America.

Mel was previously Moneypenny’s Head of IT Services and will be leading the US team which is growing at a rate of 50% year on year and has already grown its team by 25% this year.

In her previous role, Mel led the IT team in developing AI led technology that makes it easier for businesses to communicate with their clients and provide exceptional customer service.

Before joining Moneypenny Mel was head of customer Eeperience at Amey, the leading supplier of consulting and infrastructure support services both in the UK and internationally.

Before that worked she worked in various roles at Marks and Spencer.

“I look forward to supporting and working with the team to take the business to its next phase of evolution and growth. We have some very ambitious plans for the United States and are looking at acquiring companies to assist in our growth.”
