Relocation sparks growth for fire suppression firm
A Bury fire suppression specialist is beating growth projections after a Summer relocation.
Alpine Fire Engineers moved operations from the village of Littleborough in May to its new site.
The move saw it increase staffing numbers from 30 to more than 60, today, and it says it is predicting year-on-year growth of 36% to more than £19m revenues.
The company is a specialist provider in design, project management and maintenance of active fire suppression systems.
It says its move has added to its expertise through the subsequent recruitment drive, reporting that its team now boasts a number of home-grown talents in both the design and service engineering teams.
The switch to the new site was celebrated in July when the family-focused business opened its doors to friends and relatives, revealing its newly-refurbished open plan ‘connected’ space where knowledge share and camaraderie is encouraged.
The new location was based on the analysis of all existing employees to minimise any impact on their journeys.
Figures for financial year 2018/19 show the business has already exceeded growth expectations against its five-year business plan.

In recognition of the impressive achievements the firm has been nominated for local business awards, alongside Steven Nanda being short-listed for the company leader (100 staff) category in TheBusinessDesk.com Northern Leadership Awards 2019.
