New boutique concept office development proving popular

An example of Origin workspace

The first spaces in a new office concept for Manchester are proving to be a hit with the city’s business community.

Origin is a concept delivered by property investor, Investream, which launched earlier this year at 70 Spring Gardens.

It offers self-contained workspace from 1,000 sq ft to 3,000 sq ft.

The concept appeals to businesses who have outgrown their start-up office or co-working space and want something stylish, elegant and, perhaps, most importantly, their own.

In just a few months more than 16,500 sq ft has been snapped up with five businesses already moved in, and more offices under offer.

Investream says Origin is designed with the occupier in mind, offering all of the benefits a modern-day business has come to expect, with a free-to-use business lounge on the ground floor including multiple meeting areas and hot-desks, as well as spacious kitchen dining areas on each floor, and a fully-kitted out fitness suite in the basement.

There is also a roof-top garden.

Avison Young and Sixteen are joint agents on the building and Amelia Barratt, Sixteen associate director, said: “There’s been a huge increase in flexible and co-working space in Manchester, but Origin offers something completely different to the market.

“The building has everything a business could need and is finished to the highest spec.

“It really has the wow-factor and that’s clear in the quality of occupiers who have moved into Origin so far.”

Investream said news of the next Origin will be announced in early 2020.
