Professional Liverpool CEO John Hall to step down next year

John Hall, chief executive of Professional Liverpool, is stepping down next March.

He announced his decision at the annual meeting of the professional services organisation at Liverpool Town Hall.

Mr Hall has been involved with Professional Liverpool for nine years, helping to establish the organisation within the city and overseeing its expanding membership.

The successful candidate as his successor will be tasked with continuing Mr Hall’s work, leading the growth and development of the membership to deliver the organisation’s objectives.

Courtney Recruitment are retained by Professional Liverpool to find the new CEO.

Attendees at the AGM, which numbered more than 220, voted for Barclays’ Julie Campbell to join the Professional Liverpool board, replacing Griffiths & Armour’s David Varey, who is stepping down after six years of service.

Professional Liverpool plays a valuable role in advancing the interests of professional services and related businesses in the Liverpool City Region through representation with local and regional leadership in relation to the key issues affecting the region.

Its chair, Philip Rooney, said: Professional Liverpool has enjoyed another good year of membership growth.

“That is in no small measure down to the efforts of John Hall and I would like to thank him, on behalf of the board and the membership, for all that he has done for the organisation over very many years.

“I look forward to working with John’s replacement in continuing our current progress, supported by our dedicated team who take great pride in delivering what our members want.”
