Night-life app extending its reach to more UK cities

Viper, Manchester’s night-life booking app, has announced plans for expansion into other major UK cities following the success in Manchester and also the introduction of a PR and marketing division.

Founded by Craig Davies, Craig Gidley and Stephen Powell in 2017, the app has taken the hospitality industry by storm, working with some of the city’s most prolific bars, including Manahatta, Cloud 23, Foodwell, KAI, Dirty Martini and Impossible.

Users are able to upgrade to VIP, queue jump and purchase drinks packages in real time via their mobile phone.

Viper recently created a launch campaign for BLVD Manchester, a high-end drinking and dining concept, breathing new life into the former Neighbourhood site in Spinningfields.

The campaign comprised of press and influencer relations, marketing and design and event management.

With a successful business model now in place, and having recently secured seed investment, Viper is now actively seeking further partnerships as they look to launch in other major cities across the UK including Liverpool, Newcastle, Birmingham and London.

The app is also looking to expand its PR and marketing division by creating launch campaigns for other venues.

Craig Davies, co-founder of Viper, said: “When we launched Viper here in Manchester two years ago, we had spotted a real gap in the market, something that provided a premium service for users, a revolutionary way to experience a night out.

“We’re incredibly proud of everything we have built up since then and have expanded our remit within the realms of PR and marketing.

Co-founder Stephen Powell added: “With such a successful business model in place we are keen to start thinking about ways we can expand this into other cities and welcome conversations with potential investors.

“We have proven that Viper is a sustainable business model that provides the bars we work with incredible PR and marketing support, establishing them as go-to destinations.”
