Schroders unveils newly-refurbished floors and digital screen at No.1 Spinningfields

The new digital screen in reception

Schroder Real Estate has unveiled newly-refurbished third and 17th floor office suites, in addition to a groundbreaking new digital screen in the ground floor reception at No.1 Spinningfields.

This comes after several high-profile lettings and substantial investment into the landmark Spinningfields building by Schroders, following its acquisition in 2017.

The interactive screen has been designed using the most modern and energy-efficient systems and will be used to display digital art, as well as promote community and local projects.

Jourdan Rajwan, investment manager at Schroders, said: “This installation is part of our continued investment to ensure No. 1 Spinningfields remains a world-class office destination and reflects the strong occupier demand for high quality space and amenity.

“The building is made up of a diverse tenant mix and continues to attract top talent from, both outside the city and within, offering best-in-class office space, amenity and connectivity.”

The arrival of the digital screen follows on from the refurbishment of the last vacant floor, undertaken earlier this year.

The 11,342 sq ft 17th floor has panoramic views across Manchester, earning it the name ‘Suite at the Summit’.

It offers bright and spacious office accommodation, designed to provide flexibility and support the latest technology.

Schroders acquired No.1 Spinningfields in 2017 in one of the largest single-asset trades recorded in the region, at around £200m.

The building is home to an impressive array of tenants including PWC, Browne Jacobson, Moneysupermarket, luxury beauty bar The Blowout, independent eatery Pot Kettle Black and flagship D&D London restaurant 20 Stories.

Jourdan added: “Manchester is a hugely attractive option for national and international brands, as demonstrated by the occupier mix at No. 1. We’ve got exciting plans in store for the new screen and look forward to revealing them in more detail.”
