Sorted, the Manchester-based global delivery experience platform, is toasting a landmark year after the value of goods it has shipped to date reached the £1bn mark.

The milestone comes at the end of a record 12 months of rapid expansion for the pioneering tech firm which has seen its client base surge by 200%.

Among marquee global retailers who now trust Sorted’s industry-leading SAAS technology to power growth is fashion giant ASOS.

As part of its global expansion strategy it has adopted Sorted’s secure, scalable software to improve the customer experience and provide major cost-savings.

The partnership sees Sorted run a large percentage of ASOS’s distribution centre delivery management in the UK – allowing them to further scale without friction.

By the end of the year Sorted will have helped ASOS ship more than 10 million parcels since going live in February.

Leading British lifestyle brand Mulberry and DIY chain Homebase can now also be revealed as the latest client wins for the business.

Mulberry, which operates 120 stores in 20 countries, chose Sorted to help drive its international growth and improve web conversions. It has deployed SortedPRO to unify its order processing system and dramatically upgrade the delivery proposition with more carriers and services.

Homebase have adopted Sorted’s tech to power all of its direct eCommere orders – fulfilling its requirements of improving shipping, warehouse efficiency and the customer experience.

Since taking on its first major clients just three years ago Sorted has become a global delivery experience powerhouse, shipping goods to the value of £1.3bn to 171 countries.

The recent Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping days saw record volumes – 66% higher than the previous week – going through the platform, with no dip in service for clients.

In total, the first week of December this year saw parcel volumes smash the record of previous years by up to 97%.

Hailed by GP Bullhound as one of the UK’s fastest-scaling tech firms, the past 12 months have also seen Sorted scoop key industry accolades, and in September a team of its crack developers scooped glory at the Hack Manchester event by developing an SMS transport assistant in 24 hours, to help people with disabilities navigate the local rail network.

Founder and chief executive David Grimes said: “We’ve had a tremendous 2019 at Sorted.

“Adding ASOS to our ever-expanding roster of clients alongside the likes of Missguided, Farfetch, French Connection and FatFace shows that our delivery technology is trusted by some of the planet’s biggest retailers.

“Consumer expectations have never been higher than they are now. And by constantly refining and driving innovation in the delivery experience sector we are becoming retailers’ secret weapon of choice.”

He added: “Hitting the £1bn milestone of goods shipped is a great testament to the drive and dedication of our workforce who are constantly striving to ensure Sorted remain best in class.”
