Spanish speciality chemicals business Antala has acquired 17,000 sq ft of new premises as part of its expansion in the UK and Ireland.

Antala, based in Barcelona, has purchased two large units at Oakden Drive, in Denton, Tameside, advised by SAS Daniels Solicitors.

The multimillion-pound deal will allow Antala to store and supply higher volumes of speciality chemicals for the automotive, commercial transportation (bus, truck and rail), wind, aerospace, marine and general industries

Victor Argudo, Antala’s chief executive for the UK and Ireland, said: “It’s an exciting new phase for Antala.

“Not only are we expanding and transforming our operational capabilities, our new premises will also include house testing laboratories and offices, allowing us to extend our technical support in-house, as well as in-field at client sites.”

Antala, which has existing UK premises based in Bredbury, Stockport, expects the fit-out of the new units to be completed within four months.

Steven Percy, partner in the commercial property team at SAS Daniels Solicitors, said: “We’ve worked with Antala for the last six years and advised on a variety of commercial property deals, as well as commercial and employment matters.

“Due to consistent growth, the need to invest in bigger premises became an absolute priority.”

He added: “It’s encouraging to see a Spanish firm choosing the North West as their UK base and investing in the region following our exit from the EU.

“We look forward to supporting Antala’s future growth and acquisitions.”

SAS Daniels Solicitors is a full-service law firm with four offices in Chester, Congleton, Macclesfield and Stockport.
