£1.75m sale of Artemis House underscores strength of Stockport office market

Artemis House

Acting on behalf of Pentith Property, Avison Young and MBRE have sold Artemis House in Stockport to O’Connor Utilities for £1.75m.

The 12,300 sq ft, three-storey office building on Greek Street will now be fully occupied by the utilities service provider, as the business continues to expand.

Rupert Barron, director at Avison Young, said: “The deal, which completed in just a matter of weeks, illustrates new confidence and strength in the market, now that some political stability has returned to the country.

“Stockport is a strong, emerging business district in the Greater Manchester City Region, it has enjoyed heavy investment from the council to improve its reputation and its ability to function as a business location.

“Various leisure, residential, infrastructure and office schemes have been completed recently, with much more in the pipeline.”

He added: “As a result, Stockport is experiencing somewhat of a resurgence, with high quality, new office accommodation and refurbished schemes attracting occupiers that are looking for commutable, central locations for their employees.”

Artemis House is conveniently located just a short walk from the local amenities of the town and Stockport railway station, which is just a 12-minute train journey into Manchester city centre.
