TV star aiming to become entrepreneur after cosmetics deal

Jody Latham

TV actor Jody Latham is forging a career in business and has clinched a deal worth £9.5m with a Korean cosmetics group.

Jody, best known for his acting roles on Shameless and Eastenders, has created his own business venture, Epitique UK, based on Cariocca Business Park, Miles Platting.

He revealed that last week it signed an exclusive UK licensing deal with Korean cosmetics technology giants, Jetima.

The cosmetics products, which are seen as revolutionary in the botox and fillers industry, marks a major statement of intent by Epitique, as the company looks to establish itself further as one of the leading innovators in the UK and Ireland cosmetics industry.

Jody Latham said: “We are thrilled to have signed this partnership with Jetima, an incredibly prestigious company, and look forward to enjoying a very successful relationship together.

“Most importantly, these products mark a major gear change in the evolution of the medical aesthetics industry in the UK and Ireland.”

The deal means the company is projecting a turnover of £4m this year, with 30% growth in 2021.

In recent weeks Jody has also been extremely vocal and active in his support to help the region combat the threat of COVID-19.

After contacting the illness himself, requiring him to self-isolate for two-weeks, Jody has offered to provide charities and those areas of society that need them the most in the North Wes, with 100,000 face masks.

He hopes that the move will encourage more people to wear a mask and not put themselves or others at risk, as well as enabling businesses to continue to operate.

Since his first major acting break on TV screens with C4 hit show Shameless, Jody went on to star in Eastenders, Holby City, The Fixer and Waterloo Road.
