Plans submitted for £1.5m residential scheme

Plans for Danefield Road

Den Architectural Design Consultants and CARD Properties have submitted proposals for a canal-side residential scheme in Sale.

The plans would see the transformation of the land – currently occupied by commercial units – into a contemporary residential development totalling 9,000 sq ft.

Situated on Danefield Road, adjacent to the Bridgewater canal, the scheme will comprise eight three- and four-bedroom townhouses, as well as associated car parking and designated cycle storage, plus landscaped external grounds.

It has an estimated build value of £1.5m.

David Denton, director and founder of Knutsford-based Den, said: “Following an extensive design process we’re thrilled to be in a position to submit plans for this development.

“Thanks to the site’s desirable location, the homes would be ideally suited to young professionals or families and are an ideal addition to the area’s ongoing regeneration.”

The area is extremely well connected by transport infrastructure links, close to the M60 and within walking distance from the Metrolink, as well as just seven miles from Manchester Airport.

Den, which operates in all areas of architectural design, has been instructed on projects exceeding a build value of £20m in 2020.

Mr Denton said: “This year started extremely positively for the business and after an uncertain few months for everyone within the industry it’s fantastic to be moving forward with exciting plans such as this.

“We’ve had a number of positive conversations with regional developers and, for me, this signals the beginning of the road to recovery within the market.”
