Son of Boohoo boss found dead at home

John Lyttle

The son of Boohoo chief executive John Lyttle died from a suspected overdose, an inquest has heard.

Louis Lyttle, 20, was discovered unresponsive in his bed at the family home near Sevenoaks, Kent, at 5am on April 20.

He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 6.20am.

The alarm had been raised after he had failed to start work.

Digital marketer Louis, who was born in Galway, Ireland, is understood to have been working for his father with the Manchester-based online fashion retailer.

He had gone to King’s School in Canterbury before studying business management at Cardiff University.

The inquest into his death was opened at County Hall, in Maidstone.

Cause of death was given as morphine toxicity.

A full hearing will be held on September 24.

Mr Lyttle, who took over as Boohoo chief executive in March last year, has declined to comment.

He had previously worked with fashion retailer Primark.
