North West kitchen firm enters liquidation

A company which supplied domestic kitchens to customers across Cheshire and Merseyside has entered liquidation.

Jason Greenhalgh and Christopher Lawton of Begbies Traynor were appointed joint liquidators of German Kitchens NW Limited on August 13, after it ceased trading.

The company was based in Haydock and supplied domestic kitchens, mainly to households across Cheshire and Merseyside, that were manufactured in Germany.

Jason Greenhalgh, partner at Begbies Traynor in Liverpool, said: “The company experienced a significant drop in trade towards the end of 2019 as consumers began to slow down their spending due to economic uncertainty.

“This caused an inability to service company liabilities and resulted in the director’s decision to cease trading.”
