Wealth manager unveils key hires as part of plans for North West office

Simon Pearson will head the Manchester office having led UBS North West operations

Wealth management giant, Cazenove Capital, is to open an office in Manchester early next year, it has announced.

The London-based UK wealth management business of Schroders unveiled a raft of early recruits to run the North West base, including some industry big hitters.

It said plans are in place to open a new office in Manchester in the first quarter of 2021, and to establish a local presence in Bristol, Birmingham and Leeds.

Simon Pearson and Robert Nye will be responsible for heading the respective teams in Manchester and Bristol, it revealed.

Cazenove Capital chief executive, Mary-Anne Daly, said: “This is an important step in Cazenove Capital’s strategy to widen our established franchise with the many talented founders and executives of successful businesses across the UK.

“The recent hires are a testament to Cazenove Capital’s standing as an employer of choice for experienced advisers attracted by our client-centric culture and reputation for providing high quality advice.”

Karan Sejpal, team head responsible for business’ owners and entrepreneurs and the UK regions, said: “We are excited to have attracted such high calibre individuals and I look forward to working with them.

“We are in an exceptional position to serve this regional client base well as part of the Schroders Group, a major FTSE 100 company still largely owned by the family who founded it over 200 years ago, whose focus is on building long-term relationships of trust.”

Cazeonve said that expanding its regional presence will ensure that more business owners, entrepreneurs and other wealthy families can benefit from personalised local client service and the breadth of its investment and wealth planning offering.

Its regional strategy will also allow the business to serve the high net worth clients, based in and around major regional hubs, of Lloyds Bank, with whom the Schroders Group recently established a strategic partnership.
