Deadline extended to claim your place as one of the North West’s Top Tech firms

Technology firms across the region now have until this Friday to claim their place as one of the North West’s most pioneering technology companies.

The deadline for Mills & Reeve’s Top Tech: North West, in partnership with TheBusinessDesk.com, has been extended until the end of the week.

Top Tech: North West is designed to showcase the region’s cutting-edge companies which have put the region on the map as a world-class hub for technological development and innovation.

The launch follows the success of the Mills & Reeve Top Tech: Yorkshire, which is now in its third year.

Top Tech: North West is open to companies which have developed world-leading technology, are disrupting markets and whose technology and services are helping others become leaders in their fields.

Mills & Reeve is looking for companies across all sub-sectors including Healthtech and Medtech, whose innovations are transforming the delivery of healthcare and the health and wellbeing of patients, and in education where EdTech businesses are improving the performance of our educational institutions, teachers and students.

The judges also want to hear from companies in the FinTech sector where technological advancements are revolutionising the delivery of financial services, PropTech companies who are changing the face of the real estate sector in the ever-evolving digital landscape, and companies operating the in ‘Tech for Good’ space who have developed technology to address social, economic or environmental challenges.

In what has been a severely disrupted year, we would like to hear from technology companies on how they have adapted during the coronavirus pandemic, or how their technology has played a vital role in helping others adapt and keep trading through these difficult times.

Entrants will be judged on technological innovation, leadership, growth and financial performance, client service and delivery and employee engagement.

The judging panel includes:

  • Paul Knight, partner in the commercial IP/IT team at the Manchester office of Mills & Reeve
  • Richard Faulkner, managing director, technology banking, Silicon Valley Bank
  • Dr Kath Mackay, managing director of bioscience campus, Alderley Park
  • James Gregson, senior investment director of the Impact Fund at Palatine Private Equity
  • Jessica Jackson, investment director at GC Angels
