Creative speed dating for businesses and graduates
A SPEED dating recruitment event has been set up to match businesses with some of Manchester’s brightest graduates.
The session will be hosted by Manchester Masters, which is a graduate internship programme giving the best creative graduates from the city the chance to gain work experience at different businesses over a year.
It will match students who made the Masters’ final 50 shortlist, but did not make the final ten, with businesses across the city.
The event aims to give these students the chance to get in front of top employers and offer a new way for creative businesses to find a graduate employee.
Sandy Lindsay, project director for Manchester Masters and managing director of Tangerine PR, said: “Many North West companies have always thought about employing a graduate, but finding the right person and sifting through CVs can be challenging and time consuming. At the same time however, graduate unemployment continues to worsen, with national figures at their highest for 12 years.
“By bringing graduates and businesses together, this event makes it easier for companies to discover people who can make a genuine difference to their organisation, and supports students in finding their perfect career match.”
