New signing enhances retail centre’s beauty credentials

Thérapie Clinic

Grosvenor, owner of the Liverpool One retail centre, has announced the signing of Europe’s leading aesthetic medical centre, Thérapie Clinic.

Its store at the centre marks the North West debut for the brand.

Occupying a 1,052 sq ft space on South John Street, Thérapie Clinic will enhance Liverpool One’s offering with its state-of-the-art cosmetic services.

The medical clinic, set to safely open once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted, will offer visitors its renowned medical grade laser hair removal, anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, advanced body and skin treatments, as well as dental straightening solutions.

Alison Clegg, managing director, asset management, Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, said: “We have built a very strong beauty offering at Liverpool One, and the signing of Thérapie Clinic not only endorses Liverpool One’s position as a leading destination for this sector, but also reaffirms our position as the choice for international brands entering the North West.

“We are set to hit the ground running once lockdown restrictions are lifted, and very glad to have Thérapie as part of our tenant community to do so.”

Founded nearly 20 years ago, across its network of sites, Thérapie Clinic has established loyal clientele across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland and has delivered more than five million doctor-led treatments.

Phillip McGlade, Thérapie Clinic chief executive, said: “Our signing at Liverpool One marks our 20th site, and is a key milestone in our ambition to have 100 Thérapie Clinic centres open within the next two years.

“The destination reflects our core ethos of excellence and trust, while giving us a great foothold as we enter the North West region for the first time.

“We look forward to opening in spring and delivering our world class aesthetic services to help Liverpool One’s community to look and feel good.”

Thérapie Clinic joins the city centre site’s robust line up of beauty brands including Beauty Bazaar Harvey Nichols, M·A·C Cosmetics and Too Faced.

The news follows significant leasing announcements in 2021, including experiential golf simulation concept On The Green, and premium South East Asian bar and brasserie Mamasan, both of which are also set to open to the public post-lockdown in line with government regulations.

Metis and CBRE acted for Liverpool One. Orinsen acted for Thérapie Clinic.

The centre has also awarded national mechanical and electrical specialist Linaker a multimillion-pound contract to manage the planned preventive maintenance and reactive works for the combined 42.5 acres of the iconic retail and leisure destination, including its Green Flag accredited five acre park.

Liverpool One has more than 170 stores, bars and restaurants, an 18-screen cinema and an indoor adventure golf course.

The three-year contract will begin on March 1, 2021 and will see Linaker implement a 17-man team, inclusive of account manager through to apprentices.

Claire Curran, Linaker managing director, said: “We are delighted to be appointed by Liverpool One, which will be managed from our Liverpool office and delivered by our local, hand-selected engineers.

“From QR coding and unique life cycle management to enhanced engineering, we’re confident we will develop and execute a leading operation for Liverpool One.”

Martin Sutton, technical director at Liverpool One, said: “With Linaker’s diverse client portfolio and proven service delivery, we are excited to welcome them as one of our trusted partners and we look forward to building a long term relationship with them over the coming years.”
