Transactions highlight buoyancy in warehouse market

The Ravenhead Road unit

Manchester property firm Davies Harrison has completed two transactions, involving a letting, and a sale.

Acting as the sole agents on behalf of Hallmark Developments, Davies Harrison has let a 6,789 sq ft warehouse unit on Ravenhead Road in St Helens to national window and door supplier, Everest 2020 Limited on a five-year lease at £5.95 per sq ft.

The multi let estate, which is owned by Hallmark Developments, is situated in the heart of St Helens, close to Ravenhead Retail Park, and comprises six units in total.

John Harrison, of Davies Harrison, said: “Following this letting the estate is now fully let with minimal void periods since being built.

“With a number of interested parties, we were delighted to let the unit to Everest, to facilitate its expansion in the UK.”

He added: “The industrial market remains buoyant, despite these uncertain times with the ongoing pandemic with demand for both secondary and new space continuing to grow.”

Meanwhile, acting on behalf of CASS GB, sole agents, Davies Harrison has sold an 8,981 sq ft warehouse on Farnworth Industrial Estate in Bolton to Securi Network for £375,000.

Securi Network, a local property company, plans to move one of its courier companies into the unit as part of its long term expansion strategy.

Sam Rodgers, of Davies Harrison, said: “This is the second unit we have disposed of in the last nine months on the same estate and demonstrates that, despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, there is still strong demand for new and second-hand freehold industrial property in the North West.”
