BEVERSTON Engineering is to relocate to Knowsley Business Park in May, having outgrown its existing premises in St Helens.

The company has taken 15,000 sq ft at Penryhn Court on Knowsley Business Park  – three times the amount of space it currently has at Rainford Industrial Estate in St Helens.

The company has invested £2.1m in the move and it plans to take on an additional 14 staff, taking its headcount to 36.

The engineering firm, which supplies of high precision machined parts for industries including aerospace and pharmaceutical, finalised the move after being awarded a £35,000 Industrial Improvement Grant by Knowsley Council.

The grant was to upgrade the power supply to the new premises so that it was suitable to run Beverston’s specialist machinery.

Rod Wah, managing director of Beverston Engineering, said: “The financial support of Knowsley Council and the NWDA was very instrumental in making this happen. After looking in several areas, Knowsley Council were the most helpful and keen to attract Beverston into their borough.”
