Car maker acquires lease of Trafford Park warehouse

Hibernia Way, Trafford Park

Nichirin UK, represented by international real estate advisor Savills, has successfully assigned its lease at Hibernia Way, Trafford Park in Manchester, to Peugeot.

The global automobile manufacturer has agreed a deal which will see it acquire the 42,914 sq ft (3,986 sq m) self-contained warehouse at Unit B, Hibernia Way, for an undisclosed sum.

Located in a prominent position at Trafford Park, one of the largest industrial estates in Europe employing more than 35,000 people, the Hibernia Way unit provides quality warehousing space with two storeys of offices.

Situated two miles north of Manchester city centre with excellent transport links, the site benefits from its standout location, surrounded by an unrivalled mix of occupiers within the wider Trafford Park scheme.

Jonathan Williams, associate in the industrial team at Savills Manchester, said: “Trafford Park continues to be an extremely sought after location for a multitude of occupiers and is widely recognised as being one of the leading business parks in Europe.

“The letting to Peugeot brings yet another high profile occupier to the estate, with the unit at Hibernia Way providing quality warehousing facilities in an excellent location.

“With increasing occupier demand and the lack of immediate good quality supply, we are beginning to see considerable rental growth in Trafford Park.”

M1 Agency acted for Peugeot in the transaction.
